Program participants will identify key functions of Thinglink software to promote authentic learning activities that can be used to enhance the learning environment.
In breakout rooms, attendees will explore the technology on their Ed Tech Passports through a self-paced, hands-on exploration of the technology specific to the Immersive Media curriculum course and bonus Lab technology. Areas of focus: Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, laser cutting and vinyl cutting.
Participants will identify procedures for using VIL Lab program design software- Vectr, Tinkercad, and OnShape in their Lab to enhance inquiry as a method of constructive learning.
In the Non-Canvas breakout room, schools in districts that do not use the VIL Labs instance of Canvas will review processes for downloading the Lab elective curriculum from Canvas Commons, best practices for use in other LMS and how to report student enrollment to ASU.
Program participants will explore the features of the design software Vectr, Tinkercad, and Onshape while analyzing its use in connection to inquiry-based design thinking activities.
